An FTC Robotics Team, Mentored by Just Robotics · Team 37003
From Idea to Competition
IDEA → 3D MODEL → FABRICATION → PROGRAMMING → TESTING → STRATEGY → COMPETITION → PORTFOLIO
Students don’t simply learn robotics. They work together as an engineering team to design, build, program, test and continuously improve a competition robot.
Build More Than a Robot. Build Your Future.
Join Team JRium 37003 — a competitive FIRST® Tech Challenge robotics team based at our Indiranagar centre in Bengaluru.
- Join the Team — 220+ hours over 6 months of training, mentorship, outreach, innovation and teamwork. Core skills include 3D modelling, electronics and coding.
- Build a Robot + Portfolio — Beginning with the season’s problem statement, students work through game strategy, design thinking, fabrication, assembly, programming and practice. Includes 2 industry visits, 3 outreach programs with government and community schools, and 4 scrimmages with other teams.
- Compete in FTC Regionals — in Bengaluru.
- Progress towards FTC Nationals and the FIRST Championship — teams that qualify through the preceding competition stages may advance to the next level.
Why FTC?
Strong university applications are built through more than academic marks. Long-term projects, demonstrated initiative, technical skills, leadership, teamwork and meaningful extracurricular experiences can help students build a stronger overall profile.
Participating in FTC helps students build a portfolio that showcases:
- Engineering Projects
- CAD & 3D Design
- Programming
- Electronics
- Documentation
- Leadership
- Outreach & Community Impact
- Public Speaking
- Innovation
- Teamwork
These experiences can become meaningful evidence of a student’s technical interests, initiative, teamwork, leadership and ability to work on a substantial long-term project — valuable elements of a university application and student portfolio.
Building Character Through Competition
Every challenge in FTC is designed to build both technical excellence and strong character. Students learn to compete with determination, collaborate with other teams, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and celebrate collective success. FTC nurtures empathy, humility, collaboration, and integrity through FIRST’s principles of Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®, shaping students into respectful competitors, responsible leaders, and compassionate innovators.
FTC is about becoming part of something bigger.

The FTC Journey — In a Nutshell
Building a Robot. Building a Portfolio. Building a Future.
FTC is one of the most demanding STEM programs available to school students. Success isn’t achieved through a few weekends of preparation — it requires months of disciplined planning, rigorous execution, continuous iteration, effective teamwork, and dedicated mentorship. From engineering and programming to documentation, presentations, outreach, fundraising, and leadership, every student contributes to building something far greater than a competition robot.
Participation in FTC gives students an opportunity to demonstrate commitment, resilience, technical depth and collaborative skills through a substantial engineering project. Completing the journey requires students to solve complex problems, persevere through challenges, and work effectively in a high-performance engineering environment.
